The Document Server enables an organization to control the copying, printing, etc. of any documents even for authorized readers; in this way, the digitalization and utilization of information in an organization have been greatly enhanced.

Sursen document server is a platform that preserves documents and controls their accessing, with Sursen SEP Reader as the terminal to read documents and SEP Writer as the tool to convert documents. SEP Writer first converts documents of a variety of formats created in different applications to SEP format. Then the converted files will be submitted to the secure document management sever (Document Server) through a client and preserved into an expert secure document database. The sever generally control the rights of each operator to browse, copy, print, distribute, extract, and make other operations to each document, by which it guarantees the security of electronic documents to the utmost and at the same time will not disturb the authorized reading and operating of the documents.

Sursen Document Sever integrates various prevailing user's identity system, including Windows Domain, Active Directory, Lotus users integration, LDAP Server, JAAS and meanwhile, it can offer other database-based application user system. The sever is able to seamlessly integrate a variety of applications. It provides multilevel accessing rights up to 14 grades, with which complex management demands can be sufficiently satisfied.

Different from traditional document management systems, Sursen Document Sever effectively prevents important documents from being distributed without limitations. As for previous archiving system, although there is multilevel user rights management system, a user can transmit the document to others through copy, e-mail and so on with no restrictions as long as he has accessed the document.
